While running Disk clean-up, I see compress file. I want to view them before deleting, where can I find these files on my windows XP ?

Simple. Just press F3 on your desktop background, as for the search, type in " *.zip " without quote. Make sure you selected hard drive. It will list all compressed file for zip unless you have compressed file in other format, then you should similar as above and search. Example, if you have rar for compressed... type in *.rar and it will list all files with that extensions.
If you are interested in deleting windows system related compressed files. You may want to type in, *.cab and search.

After you compress files, the folder names turn blue. When you do the disk compression, it doesnt tell you which files it compressed. If you do a complete disk compression, it will compress ALL files, it will not let you decide which ones you want compressed. The only way to compress individual folders is to actually go to the directory of the folder you want to compress, right click on that folder, and then click on properties and there is an option under ADVANCED to "compress contents to save disk space".
