Why are the liberal Democrats so completely wrong about everything?

Are they stupid or naive? They are in favor of killing babies in utero, but against killing convicted murderers. They are in favor of rewarding people on welfare with endless benefits, but against individuals who start businesses and hire workers by slamming them with endless taxes. They bemoan the immorality of our society, then they do everything they can to remove God and morality from everyday life and hold up single parent homes as being just as good as two-parent homes. The tax and tax and tax individuals who work hard to support their families and just hand that money over to people that sit on their butts doing nothing. And then after you die, they take HALF of everything that you worked hard to acquire, rather than allow it to go to your family. A death tax on earnings that you'd ALREADY paid exorbitant taxes on your whole life?

How can they be 100% back-asswards wrong about everything? It's no wonder that intelligent people fight to keep them out of office!

After reading some responses, I'd better add another question:
Why, when faced with inescapable fact and truth, do liberal Democrats have to resort to name-calling and lies? Is it because they're embarrassed to have been exposed, or because they're so stupid they can do nothing else?

Mostly naive! They really don't have the ability to look beyond the problem. If they see someone hungry they want the other tax payers to rush in to feed in NOW..they won't look at why is he hungry? They want to treat the problem without looking at the source. Someone doesn't have health care...let's have a government run health care so everyone can enjoy free health care. Does someone not have a great job that pay's well...let's give them food stamps and more government based give aways..besides it's the evil rich who did thing. They want happy stamps..not the right to persue happiness.This is the reason the highest ranking Democrat is county dog-catcher. They mean well but they haven
't a clue!

Reading through most of these postings, it seems as if people desire validation more than a serious answer. But as someone who neither defines themselves as "liberal" or a "democrat", but happens to support some of the "back-asswards" statements above, i will do my best to shed light on your predicament.

Abortion: Its about the woman's choice to do what she wants with her body. Some people may not be able to handle giving a child up for adoption. For many people its not a form of contraception, but may feel it is the right choice for them. Mainly it comes down to CHOICE.

Capital Punishment: It has been proven that capital punishment does little to deter people from committing crimes. Since execution does not happen quickly (not even within a years time) it sends no clear signal to criminals. Also, personally it is simply stooping to that person's level. McCain once wrote that the only way he got through being tortured was knowing that in America they did not do those type of things to their POWs. How do we look as a nation that willing kills people?

God in Society: People need to understand that GOD is subjective. Your god is not necessarily my god. Its not so much removing God from society, but to be considerate of other people's religious beliefs. Say you were a christian living in a society that was 99% Mulism, how would you feel constantly being bombarded by Islamic imagery? Also, we are not a theocracy.

Anyway, thats all i feel fit to answer.

We aren't wrong about everything - just ask Hillary. She was right when she knew about all that fun in the oval office.

Of course being a true liberal she tried to lie her way out of it, claim is was a vast right wing conspiracy, point the finger at Ken Starr - you know, pretty much the standard stuff we liberals do to avoid taking responsibility for anything day in and day out.

But at least she was right for a change.

At a time when the nation's leaders are asking troops to risk their lives overseas, many are wondering why President Bush is looking to cut health care payments for veterans.

"Specifics were revealed in his $2.57 trillion budget for 2006 that increases military spending but asks some veterans to double their co-pay for prescription drugs.

Local veterans said they were offended by the proposed cuts they believe come at an expense to those who were injured in the defense of liberty.

The proposal, which is expected to draw heavy fire in Congress, would also require some veterans to pay a $250 annual fee for their federally delivered health care.

I agree with your analysis 100%. Liberals want power. They want to take as much of your money as they can then funnel some to the so-called poor, disadvantaged, minorities to buy votes.
To my knowledge, there is not one thing Liberal Democrats advocate, that is a good idea.
