just be honest. your parents will always love you unconditionally because you are their child . they shouldn't think of you differently just because you live your life a different way. telling your dad will be tough but keeping it from him will make it even harder for you . when the time is right ... you will know it. good luck and be proud of yourself.

Do not tell him. He probably knows. We men have the ability to ignore things we don't want to know. I know that you want to feel accepted for who you are. But you must understand, a father accepts you and loves you as his daughter(child) and would fight Hell's fire with a teaspoon full of sand because you are and always be part of him. It doesn't matter if he approves of your lifestyle, he loves you. I believe approval is a hard thing to gain, it has been for me anyway. I can honestly saythat I have gained my dad's respect, and I'm sure if you think about it there is something your dad respects about you. Good luck

How close are you 2? What reaction do you expect? In my family it's not something we ever had to deal with. But be prepared to get rejected. Some people need time to come to grips with such things. Some NEVER will. Just be honest & hope for the best. Good luck!

Dad, I've got good news and bad news. First the good news... you know all that money you've been saving for my wedding? Guess what I won't need it so its yours! Now the bad news... the reason is I'll never get married (to a man at least) because I'm gay! Toodles!

Your dad probably knows if your mom and brother know. Tell him on the phone, that way he can have time to himself before facing you.

Say, "Hey Dad, I'm gay." It's easier said than done, but better than him finding out on his own.

Lie to him. Say you pashed women. If you do this then you can get away from it. Or just tell the truth, he will understand. P.S tough question there.
