If so, what color is the string supposed to be? I heard that if you have a stye, you can cure it by tying a string on one of the fingers. Do you know this superstition?

About clamping the middle finger with a chopsticks, I've heard of many times.
It is used for talking to the spirit who possesses the person.

About tying a finger to cure a stye, this is the first time I hear of.

Do you know the cause of a stye?
It's also a superstitious belief that you've been peeping tom. Haha!

Holly leaves, crushed up, folded in a white cloth, boilwater, dip the cloth with the holly leaves in them let it sit for awhile, and later, as hot as you can stand it, puit the cloth with the holly leaves in it over you eyes where the stye is . This is one cure. And believe it or not, your own urine is suppose to be another cure for this. Remember, not someone else's. Ask around first before you do this because I'm not lieing to you. It sounds weird don't it?

I know an old Irish one, but not Chinese: pick seven thorns from a gooseberry bush and carefully point them, one at a time, close to and at the stye. You then bury the thorns in the garden. In two days the stye will be gone (it probably would have gone anyway without the help of the thorns).

This is a very common believe in Malaysia. My grandma said that it would regulate the body spirit so that your body become more comfortable or something.. Anyway, it's just superstition, don't take it too seriously.

Maybe you should get him one of those electronic dog training collars. You can push the button to deliver a slight shock and , er, "remind" him that he is forgetting something. If you play your cards right and he is less than energetic in his servicing, you can hit the button and send a couple volts to "stimulate" some additional movement. Note to Magic 8 Ball, No longer a BILF? Will you be better next week?

My parents always said that the string had to be with and you tie it around your middle finger. They did this when I had a bruised eye.
