Listen to your parents and if possible, introduce him to them so they get to know him. You never know, they might really like him and will eventually cave into your demands to go to the library with him?

To go to the library or have a boyfriend? Good Parents watch out for their kids and it sounds like you have two good ones there. Listen to them.

Maybe you could reach a compromise with your parents. Could your boyfriend come to your house to hang out instead of the library? Your parents may like that idea better, that way they can watch over you and feel more comfortable. Give it a try, you may be surprised.

According to another question of yours, you're going into grade 6, which means you just finished grade 5 and are probably about 10 or 11. You're way to young to even *have* a boyfriend, let alone go somewhere without your parents.

How old are you and your boyfriend? Maybe Mom or Dad could take you and stay at the library while you and your boyfriend sit at a different table or whatever.

Your parents were young once too. They also know what boys want. And there's a lot of bad people out there who want to hurt you or do bad things to you. I have seen this happen, believe me you don't want that to be you. They're protecting you, even though you don't think you need it, you do. Listen to them and stay safe.
