it sucks for him, coz apparently, klinsmann has yet to give him a proper explanation as to why he is benched. also, throughout the germany/sweden match, shots were taken of him, looking grim-faced.

While I don't think he's done anything to lose his place and Lehmann hasn't done anything spectacular to leapfrog him, Kahn should shut up. He's screwing with the team chemistry by moaning in the press, but I think this team is solidly behind Klinsmann, and they see Kahn as a bitter has-been, ignoring him.

True. I think he is a much better goalkeeper than Lehmann. Klinsmann should let him play cos' this could be the last time he's representing Germany in the World Cup.

not at all! Lehmann has a much better season then Kahn this time around with Arsenal. He deserves his chance at this tournament. Its now Kahn's turn to warm the bench... Kahn may be famous, but its the current form that is going to win u cups and matches

Why ppl feeling so pity on him? You will feel more pity if given a chance and allowing 4-5 goals from sweden or anyother team. Also you will blame the team management and Kahn for that. Let him take rest, since he cannot hold the 'balls' anymore.

He's much older so slower. Klinsmann don't owe him any public explaination... because Germany with Lehmann is doing fine.

its basically a case of out with the old and in with the new..ollie kahn has been the rock of the german team for so many years but all good things come to an end..most player bow out graciously but he obvoisly still feels he has a lot to offer his national team

I was talking about him too when i saw those shots. I mean something is wrong here. Why is benched has to do with a controversy that i heard.Dont know if it is true.

He is a whiner and getting what he deserves. Lehmann is a better keeper, and Kilinsi's responsibility is to play the best.
