Its the greatest fraud of this century. They may tell u fascinating stories and they may show u fat paychecks, but the bottomline is that in any business the profit is generated by selling more products and not by recruiting more and more salesmen. Its over 3 decades now and its not even 1% of the total business of the world. If it was a powerfula s the people promoting it claim, i think the equation would have been much more balanced. Useless crap promoted by shrewd and cunning people

MLM or sometimes known as network marketing is a valid business model as long as the business places primary emphasis on the PRODUCT or SERVICE. Only when recruiting is done with the emphasis on receiving compensation from those you bring into the business, does it fall into the category of a pyramid scheme.

When you consider becoming part of a network marketing company, do your homework. Do some research on the different compensation plans available with the different companies. Check for mandatory quotas. Does the company provide good training? Most important: Is the product or service something you would use, and would you take pride in sharing the benefits of that product or service with others?

Network marketing is not for everyone. It is definitely a "people" job. It is VERY time consuming! And unless you have some innate sales ability, you probably will not succeed. (Don't believe the hype they try to sell you about simply following a script and the product sells itself!)

If you are serious about giving this a try, I have some generic links (unrelated to any specific business) I will share with you if you email me. The resources will simply give you a running start. Again, they have no affiliation with any MLM.

MLM is a form of direct selling. In MLM, the sales person makes money by selling products as well as recruiting other people to sell products. It is more like a "traditional" business than most people think. Consider a business like Subway restaurants. The people at Subway make money by selling food. They also make money when they find another person to open a Subway restaurant because it provides more food sales for the company.

As a network marketer, you will make money by selling products and also by finding someone else to sell those products as well. The more products that are sold, the more money you make.

MLM experiences get a bad reputation because they highlight people who make a lot of money and make it seem easy. This is a smart move on their part, because it shows off their opportunity. For some people, it is easy. They work from home and make their own hours. However, making money with an MLM company is not easy. It is as difficult as any other job. The harder and smarter that you work, the more benefits you will achieve.

Not sure about your definition of MLM.

To me network marketing is just marketing technique..
If we look form a strategy point of view, its definitely a good marketing technique. As we all know, words of mouth is one of the oldest and most trust-worthy form advertising you can get. Do that maths and you will know why network marketing is deployed in result driven products. You convince your customer they convince their friends. That's how it works.

However people tend to take network marketing as an express train to success. If you can't be convince by your product and sell your products, your network don't grow because too little people are being convince. That's 1 reason how a networking marketing business can fail.

Next, have proper training for the products. The more detailed the products is being sold, the less doubt and negative thought will be cast upon the product. product confidence is important.

Lastly, its about empowering your staffs. If you staffs can't move, your product can't move either.

p/s trusting the product is more important then blindly thinking "MLM will definitely work"

Use quality lists and get involved in a good program....Most mailings lists you buy are poor..undeliverable, unreponsive, and expensive.

You must you a good list and get involved in a good company. The mailing list that I use personally is from www.primechoicelists.com Be Sure to Use Dept Code 5491 if you Order. If you check them out, you will find that these lists are reasonably priced, highly deliverable, and responsive.

If you have questions about programs, I can answer them. I have been involve in mlm for over five years now and over the past few years have made thousands.

Also don't forget to mail your offers to those persons who send you their offers.

whatever your (traditional) job scope is right now...it will become sales/marketing focused in the end.

as you become part of the management team. you need to manage/recruit people.

you will also be required to partake in "business development" that in itself requires maintaining relationships & building new ones.
...so that your company finds new business/projects/contracts.

so why bother to help others (your company & bosses) create wealth...when you can make your OWN wealth??

network marketing is THE cornerstone to getting quickly involved in a "system" which might generate this wealth on a personal level.
it only requires one to maintain & build relationships...just like any other job.

like previous comments above state...one needs to find one that suits him/herself.

get involved in a successful organisation (preferably a public corporation) that itself is involved in the 3 Power Trends driving the world right now:
- the Internet
- products used by the "Baby Boomer" population
- & true GLOBAL Distribution!!

check it out and email me (click Nick on left)

your time spent on it, may set you up for a long time to come.

i'm the only one in sg involved at the moment...& legally.
join in Early for endless possibilities.
(in fact, many countries/states are virgin markets!)

only once in every 10-20 years does one chance upon a company going into momentum phase of this magnitude!
...like buying into Microsoft stock before Windows was invented!
