How do I play MPG, or AVI movies in the newsgroups. I get error message "unable to launch attachment".

The error messages states "There is no application with MIME type application/octet stream." Huh?
All answers greatly appreciated, I feel like the village idiot on this!

Check the site and see if its requiring that you download an extension to play the vid.

You can't. You first have to download and combine the several parts of the file and save them to your hard drive. Then you will be able to play them.
