Israel only got the "occupied" territories after the 6-day war. Before that, the Palestinians could have started their own country in that area.

Jordan controlled the West Bank, yet Palestinians now call it their land. Jordan is out of the picture today, but they also could have established a Palestinian state. While Jordan controlled the West Bank, nobody called it an "occupation".

Those territories were parts of other sovereign countries prior to that war. It wasn't empty space on the far side of Neptune.

Judea and Samaria historically and morally belong to the Jews. Judea/Samaria was controlled by Jordan, and Gaza controlled by Egypt, prior to 1967 when these states used the areas to launch their attacks to destroy Israel.

Israel defeated the Arab attempt to wipe them out in 1967 and gained control of these areas. Although the State of Israel has not properly incoporated these lands into the State of Israel.

Arabs were offered the chance to create their own "state" in these areas several times, but have refused each time. As they've stated, their real goal is to "finish Hitler's work" as they call it.

Actually, they weren't even really Palestinian territories. The land that was captured was cotnrolled by Egypt and Jordan.

What they might have done is irrelevant, the Israelis took land not granted to them. We could could look at PLENTY of land in Canada and Mexico that they have "done nothing" with. Can we just move in?
