The only process out of the 4 listed which involves a chemical change is (d), burning coal in a furnace.....combustion.
The remaining 3 processes involve physical changes to the substance(s).

A change in state is a physical change, it leaves the chemical structure of the substance intact. Ice melting into liquid water, water evaporating off of wood, alcohol evaporating.....all a physical change.
Coal burning in a furnace is a combustion reaction, changing the Hydrocarbons in the coal into Carbon Dioxide, water, and other byproducts.

i thk the 4 processes will result in a chemical change
A. melting ice to obtain water
electro-statics forces of attraction present are broken
change in lattice energy
there is energy changes also

b. evaporating alcohol into vapor
again there r bonds present in alchol which r broken n thus energy change

c. drying wood in a shed
burning of wood in oxygen ( combustion)
carbon dioxide present n also several compounds formed energy changes....i.e enthalpy changes

d. burning coal in a furnace
production of CO2 or CO
