There are a lot of close-minded people in the world. Those that think that way are sad, love starved beings who have never loved or been loved with extremely low self esteem and absolutely NO clue as to what love is all about...think about it...if they knew, they'd know that love knows NO boundaries. You love God,nature,family,friends,cars,sports,etc.......and not necessarily in that order ;)

It depends on one's view of love. If love is defined in several ways. It can be a warm attachment, enthusiasm, or devotion (noun) or it can be action, as in fondling or copulating (verb). Another definition comes from The Bible, which says that God is Love (Christian view from The Bible).
In the first two definitions it can be for the opposite sex or a person, or a thing. The last definition gives Love a more powerful presence that involves a more rigored structure ... because it is from The Bible, which has many rules concerning human behavior and traditions. It is through God's power, and the Church, that we are saved; therefore, Love goes beyond sex and human sexuality, and into the supernatural world of the Spirit of God (at least by that last definition of Love). This definition would seem to involve human beings exclusively. Keep in mind, depending on a persons view, that Love may be used very loosely when considered in the first two definitions, yet, these two definitions are more commonly known and used. But this may be the reason why people think that Love must be for people, because He died for people out of obedience to Love (Christian view).

Some people believe Sex=Love and Love=Sex; this is untrue. People of the same sex have love for each other all the time, without having a sexual relationship.
Sometimes you don't even know you love someone until you break down at the funeral.

I believe 'true' love is when a man and a woman become one and are no longer a man and woman but a whole new pure and perfect being. That's why I also believe that same sex or even a non-human 'love' can or ever will be able to combine to become that being. It's simply not possible.

I don't think so. Personally, if you are really in love with someone from the same sex, I say go ahead, there's no way you can't stop loving someone, and no one can stop you.
I don't think that it is wrong to love anything that is not human. I love my teddies, and I love my dog, so what's wrong with that? It's a free world people!

One problem, perhaps, is that the English language doesn't have different words for different kinds of love. I love my wife; I love chocolate ice cream.
Ancient Greek did. The Greek language distinguished several different senses in which the word "love" is used. For example, Ancient Greek used the words philia, eros, agape, and storge to refer to different aspects of love.
Agape:often refers to a general affection or concern, rather than the physical attraction suggested by "eros";agape is used in ancient texts to denote one's feeling for a good meal, one's children, and the feelings one has for a spouse.
Eros: is passionate love, with sensual desire and longing. The Modern Greek word "erotas" means "(romantic) love". Plato refined his own definition. Although eros is initially felt for a person, with contemplation it becomes an appreciation of the beauty within that person, or even becomes appreciation of beauty itself.
Philia means friendship, a dispassionate virtuous love, was a concept developed by Aristotle. It includes loyalty to friends, family, and community, and requires virtue, equality and familiarity.
Storge means affection in modern Greek; it is natural affection, like that felt by parents for offspring.
It would seem that English is not "the language of love."

you can love an animal but I don't it's in nature's best interest to screw an animal. homosexuality, bisexuality is a whole different animal.
homosexuality- screwing your own sex
bisexuality- screwing your own sex plus the opposite sex
beastiality- screwing the beasts
you must be very lonely to ask such a question.
you can love all three.
but it's forbidden.

Not necesarily for opposite sex, but for a human definitely. Why? Coz it's the only way to get a fizical pleasure out of it. Human nature's hedonism.
If you can get it out of beastiality, good for you dude, animals are a lot better cooperating. I reduce myself to people.
