i am a 30 year old male, i smoke and dont take as much excersise as i should, for the past 18 months i have been suffering from diaorrhea about 3 times a month, it only seems to last a day or so, im not keen on doctors or taking drugs and dont fancy the prospect of a prostate exam, will this clear up on its own or is it something more serious.

see a doctor NOW! Repeated Diaorrhea can be a sign of a bacterial infection or serious stomach or colon problems.

Keep a diary of what you eat and drink for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks etc. When the diarrhea happens see if there is a pattern emerging. Also write down restaurants you visit. Could be mild food poisoning or IBS Irritated bowel syndromes (do you get this when you are stressed/pressured/uncomfortable) - could be many things, but at the end of the day, a doctor's diagnosis is best.

you need a medical examination whether you like it or not. 18 months is NOT a passing thing. see a doc it will only take 5 mins, and it will put your mind at ease

oh...sooner or late, given plenty of enough time. You won't ever have to worry about it again. Just be very very patient and wake.
