We have already done it and it works.
Iran didn't / doesn't sell oil and gas to US companies directly (Perhaps they buy our oil and gas of other brokers) also we don't buy anything of them for more than 27 years.
Usually, US threats other independent countries to boycotting them and I can tell you, we don't have any problem.
Actually, these situations are became us more independent.
Recently, Iran is going to sell its oil and gas with other currencies, such as Euro, etc. This act can involve US aggressive policy with some new troubles ;)
Iran didn't / doesn't accredit Israel. We don't accredit any other country in that region except of Palestine. So Iran didn't / doesn't have any business with Israelis.
Iran ignored them for ever.
Also, US invaded and occupied Iraq just for oil and control over "Persian Gulf" as a strategic place where some oil and gas producers are there.
Obviously they want to have enough control over oil producers and oil consumers, including China, India, Japan, Korea, Western European countries, etc.

You are forgetting something very basic, most of our oil comes from within America, like 83% of it, so we could just increase drilling in Alaska to help ease and inflation to gas. America has a plan most people don't see, its trying to use up the worlds oil supply over the next few decades, then once oil is super expensive and rare, then Alaska's oil fields will be worth billions and everyone will go to the U.S. in search of oil. We can have super low gas prices if we wanted, but I doubt the oil for U.S. customers would be much cheaper. So an invasion to secure that plan might be a plan they have, if such a thing ever happened. If Saudi Arabia even tried to make and use nuclear weapons, we as the U.S. would not be scared so easily. We are the worlds deterrent for now, we will not tolerate use of Nuclear strike. The only fear is full-scale nuclear war, and Saudi Arabia doesn't have that, nor will it ever. Nobody is stupid enough to use nuclear weapons in war, especially toward the U.S. We all know if your launching nukes, you better get ready to feel some come your way, mutually assured destruction. As for the U.S. economy, such things have happened before, we learned that lesson in the gulf war, it will not happen again. Saddam Hussein is dead, never again shall a cruel dictator rule any country, and stop other countries oil production.

we will build an oil platform 12 miles off the coast in international waters and take "our" oil. Just what lands and rights have we taken? Did you cheer when the twin towers fell? You brought the war to us! It was your moronic jihadists that you can blame for every death by accident, combat or terrorism. Your whole economy is based on America BUYING your oil. You would be living in a mud hut in a month, although you probably already are. Your monarch, king or royal family wouldnt do it because of their own wealth.
You dont want America fighting in your lands? Then do something about the terrorists instead of cheering them on.
In this day and age of reason even you cant truly believe that your God condones what you do.

I am a US citizen and have lived in the middle east for nearly 2 years. All you have to do is go to the shopping malls and see that 90% of the things for sale (clothes, automobiles, appliances, computers, software, etc.) are made in the west. Heck, with the exception of dates and lambs the USA feeds most of the middle east and the world! And let's talk about drinking water.... If we hadn't designed, built and maintained the desalination plants in the middle east, you would be hurting for water. I suggest we start selling you water at say, $7.00 a gallon or exchanging 1 barrel of water for 1 barrel of oil and see which country's economy prospers. And I have some more news for you...without the US/western spare parts for your military and civilian equipment you would be back in the age of the horse and buggy. Also, no one is forcing any of the 1 billion Muslims you mention to take American aid. Feel free to turn it down down next time some one offers it. And finally, why is it that none of your ARAB brothers from Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, etc. have donated 300,000 square kilometers of their country's land to to crate a new Palestine? It all comes down to greed and maintaining their own power, right?

If middle eastern countries stopped selling oil to the U.S. than that would cripple middle eastern economies (since most of their oil comes to the U.S.) and the U.S. would start getting oil from somewhere else.
The boycott of U.S. products by middle eastern countries would not be enough to cause any major changes in the U.S. economy.
For one thing, the U.S. produces very few physical products anymore. The U.S. economy is service rather than product based.
The majority of the services sold to people in the middle east are sold to the members of the Royal families in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. It is highly unlikely that the Royals are going to give up the services that they receive here.

well bcoz we(muslims!) have to....i am a quite realistic guy and a firm believer in superiority of west in science, philosophy, art and manufacturing....so just suppose that if muslims stop buying westerm products;what would be the repercussions for them, particularly the dumb species of middle east...since its now a universal fact that arabs are intellectualy the most inferior race on planet earth, keeping in mind that they couldn,t even extract oil from their lands(US,France,GB and Germany started this task in early 20th century)and having abundant resources and wealth dont produce a single damn product of some worth....these pathetic arabs would be the 1st casuality of this DESIRED boycott and would have to switch to camels for transportation....i am in favour of having a conducive enviorenment between east and west to achieve some degree of peace and harmony....i am pretty much sure this question was posted by some dumb arab.

Ha ha ha. You are ignorant. Without the income from the US, what would happen to the economies of these Middle Eastern countries?
Tell you what, why don't you stop buying American products? Let us all know how your boycott goes.
By the way, I recently started drinking Carlsberg beer ;-)

I agree with you
but the point is why the arabic leaders (saudi, kuwaith,UEA,jordan, egypt, and other) are so dumb and buy US and israel products and sell them oil
I think we all should personally prevent ourselves from buying Israel,US products
Oh, by the way, i need lists of us, israel products or company that support israel?
Long Live Muslim!

As Americans, we begin tapping our reserves and our own rich oil supply. When that was brought up recently the Arab leaders were over here begging us not to. Its a two way street. You think Americans are bad, wait until you're controlled by a communist country. tee hee......have at it.
