land rover freeranger reliability?

does anyone drive one of these and if you do, how reliable is it. i was thinking of buying one but i've heard mixed reviews. how about gas mileage, servicing costs, etc.?

We have all known the older BMW and Benz's lived in the shop, everyone knows it.

But what few know is the Land Rover/Range Rover is the real winner on living in the shop. These things break down all the time, will leave you stranded and drain your wallet to repair.

There are stats on the web that show the reliability of all car makers....Range Rover/Land Rover is always the worse.

If you like to spend money yet never drive...buy a Land Rover.

If you like to drive and not spend money...buy a Lexus/Toyota.

I Test for Land rover and when we was driving the Freelander a few yaers ago the One thats out now I recall the Fuel millage was about 24 mpg with the V6. And It held up very well we had a Combination of terrains and weather we drove it through for nearly a year Total of 140 thousand miles. Nothing serious broke down. It was tested in extreme heat a lot of Off road driving.
And the very same vehicle was tested in Extreme Artic cold weather in Northern Manitoba Canada. But as far as costs to repairs you might want to think about how bad you want to be in it. first because nothing is Cheap to fix on any Rover. If the Cost would bother you You might want to think of the Jeep liberty comparable to the freelander. My Self I drive a Jeep RUBICON to the Testing Base every day.

yea gas is high and service on that vehicle is high as well but its a dam good vehicle and very reliable , and pretty much go anywhere you want ,good vehicle, nothing bad to say about it.
