and whenever he sees the CARS movie commericial on the TV he picks up the car in his hands and shows my gf and puts his hands towards the TV. He is 19 months old i am happy that he has a very good sense of recognizing things. Is there some other new toy in the market which is good?

Take him to the toy store, sit him in the cart and take him to the aisle with toys for HIS age. 18-24 months ~ the major way that they learn and become smart at this age is through PLAY. Get him one toy he falls in love with at the store and get him another perhaps by the company Little Einstein, Lamaze or just some building blocks. he is not a genius yet, but leave him in front of the tv for another year or so and see how much he learns, he may figure out the difference between Tom & Jerry

a hummer to break the tv and take him out to play like all litle kids does
