Does anyone know if there is some sort of safety switch somewhere. I didn't have any training, hubby went offhshore, and told me I would have to have OJT and now I think I broke it. He took the owner's manual with him and now I cannot even get it to try to turn over. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why would he take the owner's manual off-shore with him?

Anyway, there is a safety switch under the seat so if you get up while it is running, it will cut off. I will also make it not start. Sometimes this safety switch is combined with a switch on the mower deck. If the blades are engaged it may not start. Then there is the one on the clutch pedal.

In other words, to start the mower, disengage the blades, depress the clutch pedal, put shifter in neutral, sit on it, then turn the key to start.

Go to the auto parts store and pick-up a 1-amp trickle charger, ($20-30.00) and clip it to the battery. Leave it on overnight untill it shows the battery is fully charged. Now you can try starting it again. Don't fool around with the controls too much. Start it with full or three-quarters 'choke' (if you have a choke control) and the throttle at least half open. Back off the choke when it starts and let it idle untill the machine is hot. That should do it. A new spark plug will help, too.
Either that or pay someone to do the lawn untill he gets back.

Try going to the snapper website and getting info from there. You could also go to the local home and garden shop, they should be able to help ya out.
