I loved both films. I think that while they're not 100% original (the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre has a lot in common with House of 1000 Corpses), Rob Zombie did a terrific job with both scripts and casting. Bill Moseley was extremely convincing as Otis Firefly.
I prefer House of 1000 Corpses because it's just INSANE and the storyline keeps getting weirder and weirder as the movie goes along. There are not a lot of movies out there that surprise you and shock you as much as this one. The Devil's Rejects was also good because Zombie introduced interesting new characters (Charlie, Candy, Banjo & Sullivan, etc) and it was certainly NOT a repetition of the first film, considering that it took place in a completely different setting.
I also loved both soundtracks; if there's something Zombie can REALLY do (aside from composing, writing, drawing, singing, etc) is selecting songs from the 60s and 70s and creating a truly remarkable compilation album.
Two thumbs up for Zombie and his movies!

Sorry, I'm a fan of Rob Zombie too, but I thought that the Devil's rejects and House of 1000 Corpses were almost identical films.
There is not much difference between the two.

I liked both! But I Tought Devil's rejects was better. The freakiest line was the most innocent, yet the most violent at the same time..." I'm Willy Wonka and this is my Chocolate Factory". That put me back in my seat there buddy!

Okay, real quick both movies were excellent, but the second one was better, why? Because, in the second movie not everyone was a victim, it made the story more realistic that they had other characters that fought them back, or at least they tried.

well house of a thousand corpses was funny, but you could tell it was written by a songwriter, the story didn't really pull you in. the devils rejects was much better because he had time to improve.
