i have just plugged the card in, what do i do now. help

well, you may need drivers for it to work. You may need a power cable. It's hard to tell without the make and model of the items. But It sounds like you just need the drivers.

check if there are any pins on your motherboard for usb and connect the cable to the pins for usb/wifire. Unless you're talking about pci card. in that case you probably need the new drivers for the card. Specify the manufacturer and the model!

drivers are essential, if you know the manufacterer go to their web site and download all latest
