diet and trying to keep a good outlook on life is the best medicine that i know of. I have a friend who has MS and after she was diagnosed she got really depressed. For nearly a year she was on a bunch of stuff and it did not seem to help. SHe got with a group on the internet and and they helped her with her depression. She is doing much better and has changed her vision on life. FIGHT! Eat well.. stay away from too many fats and anything that has high fructose corn syrup. Eat freash veggies or frozen dont add anything extra to the food like salt. Real labels and stay as active as you can. Excersise even if you can do to much... start a journel even if someone has to write for you ... trust your instincts. If you eat something then you feel bad or different dont eat it... hard to explain but it works for my friend. She is more actinve now than 6 months ago and she has many more good days. God Bless....

People with MS are experiencing a great deal of relief with Himilayan Goji Juice. It is an adaptogen which goes to work on auto-immune dysfunction. It has medical validation including 72 clinical studies published on pubmed.org under Lycium Barbarum. This was developed by Dr. Earl Mindell, author of the Vitamin Bible.

Because MS is a demylenization of the motor neurons, those nerves must be able to function without the aid of myelin. So, the best treatment known to date is to keep those nerves active, and to keep moving. I have a friend who has had MS for many years, but because she has kept moving virtually every hour of every day, her condition has not worsened noticeably for many of those years.

My friend has ms. He's been a highway patrolman for 17 years and a friend for longer than I can remember.I give him wheat grass juice every morning, and marijuana for the pain. The pain levels are so great,200mg of morphine was working on his digestive system to the point that it wasn't helping .Even his Dr.said it would be a better alternative to other medical drugs and not so many side affects..... I hope she can recover some of her grace...

Go on a vegetarian diet.http://www.notmilk.com eat lot of green vegetables raw. Avoid seafood especially the mercury in the ocean is the main cause of MS. Cheese is also very bad. Drink lots of water.

God bless you and your niece.
In addition to what everyone else has recommended, there is a lot of evidence that smoking marijuana helps people with MS. See what the Mayo Clinic has to say about it at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/medical-marijuana/GA00014
Also, if she lives in Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Washington, she can get a medical marijuana prescription from a doctor.
