I have joined a P2P Network and pay 99p a month to download unlimted music. Is this so cheap as you are basically sharing files with other users? Could someone explain this to me as I am a TOTAL NEWBIE to it. I am also scared that there is a catch with the 99p a month and I am going to get billed for every song! although it did state a one off fee of 99p a month as the lifetime sub is £17.95.

Between all the spywares and possible scams, I would say more generally that if you are a newbie, don't try P2P... Go to legit websites like iTunes Music Store or if you really want to give it a try, have a knowledgeable friend do the install and explain you how to use it.

Right now, cancel that "subscription", call your bank and order a new card.

p2p networks are free Ü
If someone has conned you into paying for a file sharing program and has you believing that you can not be prosecuted for the sharing of copyrighted materials, then you have been lied to. sorry about that.

You just got yourself into trouble. Someone is pulling a scam, and yes, you just gave away your credit card number. You have two choices, report it, cancel the number, and have a replacement card mailed to you right away, or trust the person you gave your card number to.

:-), ps, cancel the card, and quick.
