Jesus' disciples had the same question. They asked in Matt 24:3: "...what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"
Jesus said that no one knows except the Father. We find that in
Matt 24:35-36
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of the day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."
Jesus said the end will come when the following takes place:
1) false Christs appear
2) hear of wars and rumors of wars
3) nations war against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms
4) famines
5) pestilences
6) earthquakes in various places
7) Christians worldwide will be hated, persecuted, and killed
8) many people will turn away from Jesus; they will betray and hate one another
9) false prophets will arise and will deceive many
10) sin will be rampant everywhere and people will stop caring for others
11) the gospel of Jesus Christ will be preached around the world
All these signs are partially in operation right now.
We are definitely near the end.
