Colin Powell is an outstanding human being, and what he did is extraordinary. As a soldier, he followed orders until such a time that he no longer could tolerate the wickedness, incompetency, and corruption of the Bush administration. Then he got out....
and he's kept his mouth shut. What an honorable man! Colin Powell should run for President, but I don't believe he'd ever want to have to stand that close to the stench of American politics. Although, I'd love to see him and Ross Perot run as true patriots who would be willing to sacrifice their personal fortunes for the sake of cleaning up the cesspool we call Congress.
Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld, on the other hand, are the most evil people ever to occupy the White House. Bush authoized an illegal, unconstituional war with Iraw for only two reasons: 1) he wanted to 'get even' with Saddam Hussein for humilating his daddy during Desert Storm; 2) Big Dick Cheney wants all of the oil that's swimming underneath Iraq's sands.
THERE WILL BE NO TROOPS WITHDRAWN FROM IRAQ
until Dick Cheney has a rock-solid, iron-clad arrangement in place to acquire all of that oil and make his Halliburton buddies richer and richer and richer.
Meanwhile, Bush (with the MilqueToast support of the most corrupt, incompetent, cowardly Congress is U.S. history) has:
1. Massacred tens of thousands of Iraqis and killed 2,500 U.S. soldiers;
2. Forced the United States into trillions of dollars of debt;
3. Tarnished our global reputation as a world leader and peacekeeper;
4. Neglected environmental and ecological issues that will certainly contribute to the Earth's demise over the next few generations;
5. Ignored the needs of those in this country who are hungry, sick, aged, poor, disabled or otherwise disadvantaged;
6. Catered to his rich friends, big business, lobbyists, and special interests who are able to make generous (if not illegal) campaign contributions to the GOP and ensure a continuing reign of unmitigated power;
7. Turned America into a police state where citizens are presumed guilty until proven innocent;
8. Presided over a political party that has no moral compass, no conscience; or no respect for right or wrong;
9. Stolen two elections by influencing our judicial system and infiltrating the sanctity of the voting booth;
10. Run ripshod over the U.S. Constitution for the sake of his own avarice and lust for power.
These people deserve to be impeached or tried for high treason. If convicted, they should face a public firing squad.

Thomas Jefferson once said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." That time is way past due. It's time for another American Revolution that brings power back to the people and takes it out of the hand of the elite few who have made such a mess of this country.
Satan has - certainly - reserved a special oil-drenched corner of Hell for Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld (and their Congressional conspirators) where they can spend their eternal damnation blaming each other for how they destroyed our good Earth.

No, not the same, the only redemption that he does have is that he got out. I still would not vote for him as he is a repuglican and I have learned in my life that they are not to be trusted with what is good for the country. They are greedy and do only what is good for them and the very rich. Nixon, Reagan, Bush sr. and now Bush jr. Not one of them helped to country, the only president that did they attact until they found something to try to shame him, however most of the American people did not fall for it. That was Bill Clinton.

He is one of the people who spent time in the Bush White House that I do respect. He is a very honorable and intelligent man. He is one Republican I would vote for if he ran for the Presidency.

dont forget, And stood up to Rumsfeld behind closed doors & then saluted & carried on when he was overruled. I wish he'd run for President, but it won't happen.
