Because they were different and controversial [ I looked both words up a long time ago neither of them has wrong as a definition] They all had bold new ideas that challenged the status quo . Powerful people don't like people who rock the boat! I wonder what the world would be like if just one of them[ your choice] would have died of old age!

King, John and Robert Kennedy and Lincoln had it coming, is why. They all had a hand in damaging the Constitution.
Jesus had to die for prophecy to be fulfilled.
Smith and Gandhi were killed for political reasons.

Why, they should have been killed by women? :) I guess that all the great men outhere become a threat to others when they know too much or do too much.......
