If the brown is from smoking get some efferdent tablets,you know the ones for false teeth,that advertise that it removes nicotine stains and soak your fingers in a glass with the tablet in it

Are they discolored from smoking? If so, there's really nothing you can do but quit smoking and let them grow out. Keep them trimmed short so it's not as noticable. It could also be a deficiency. I believe webmd.com has something about nail discoloration.
