Are either of you involved with or married to other people? So the separate lives you mention, do they include other romantic partners? If so, maybe she is already involved with someone? Perhaps she intends to keep the "friendship" (between the 2 of you) just a friendship, (only). If both of you are unattached, then make arrangements to be in the same country, and declare your feelings face to face!

Good luck!

Sometime best friend does more than love in a marriage. But there is a big different between establishing a marriage and a friendship. You may say what you feel straight away and see what is going to happen. But never think that you will make a better live just because what you feel. Feeling is not always something right in your soul if you don't cross check it with your brain.
So get real life, real love and forget those feelings. I assumed you are married. If you are not and she is not yet, so go get her. What are you waiting for? This world is going to doom very soon.
Have a nice live.
