This is where we learn how to be human. We learn about roles of men and women, how to relate to others, how to love. We begin to learn about citizenship (school teaches us the rest). We obtain language skills, a sense of belonging and a sense of self. Families are the building blocks of society. It has been said that the breakdown of the family was what caused Rome to fall.
