There are some very good uni's in your list there and all have good points including locality. I studied through Essex who have a good reputation and you are close to London by train.

Its depends on your grade and tariff band but if you go to this address below, they have the University table and has history listed and from there you can use your grade etc and then compare for success and price.

Good luck

It really depends what you want. The only sure fact here is they all want your money, so, you need to decide which one will give you the best value for it. Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Warwick (Coventry) are all good universities, but the cities they are in are pretty miserable. York is very beautiful, and Durham and Norwich are very pretty too.

University of Durham. Undoubtedly one of the finest in the UK. Made all the more comforting and welcome by its inhabitants. A city of historical repute i.e. with glimpses of the good , the bad and the ugly of centuries long past. Magnificent architecture, superb varieties of entertainment and leisure , marvellous pubs hidden quietly away, meandering alleys and shops and adjacent countryside of splendour. I spent a year there. Never to be forgotten. Never made so welcome in my life as by the East Northerners of the UK. If flying into the UK (London) go by road up the A1 - a journey to remember. You'll never regret it. Manage on occasion to fly into the UK & first spend a couple of days down South, then its North - by road - to Durham. 30+ years and it still draws me back. If you go / write tell me about it!
