For some its their beliefs, others cultures, others religion, some people because of dietary requirements and some people because of events in society such as the treatment of animals and the additives used in foods these days.

there are many reasons people opt to be vegetarians, some reason are due to religion they dont like killing animals. some are health consecious and and get their diet requiement from greens, and some are advised by doctors those that have cardic diseases and high blood pressure,skin ailments,some vegetables have medicinal contents that tones the skin and helps the digestion and some just prefer the taste , and of course it cooks faster than meat, and yes it is a cheaper diet but definitely health wise its the best, but its ones own choice, but since the hype about bird flu and mad cow disease many have become vegetarians

I'm a vegetarian not because I love animals...but because I really, really hate plants.
