I can tell you that it is completely real just from living in Houston for about 20 years. Back in the day we had 4 seasons in Houston. During Spring it would rain quite a bit and was a nice 70-80 degrees. The Summers were still pretty dang hot. But fall came and we'd get down into the 60's around October. In the Winter, like around late January, it'd actually get pretty cold...down in the 40's and high 30's (occasionally below freezing).
But now, we have 2 seasons. Hot and Hotter. You can basically wear shorts and short sleeve shirts year round now. And forget about the Summer. It easily gets to be 110 in the shade come August. And the heat index in August gets to be a crazy 150 degrees.
The person above me raised an interesting point. Unfortunately I believe he's wrong. We do have a say in what happens to the environment. Think of all the polluting and cutting down trees as a big oven. The gasses trap the heat inside making it hotter and hotter. Eventually that M&M shell is going to melt (polar caps).
But he's right about one thing. Mother Nature is going to try it's best to balance things out. That means violent earthquakes, volcano eruptions, and deadly hurricanes. She's like a dog and she's going to try her best to gnaw off these fleas. Unfortunately human beings are the fleas. I just hope that we haven't reached the point of no return.
As for rap music. It's obvious he haven't listened to any.

Hmm....they have these things called 'volcanoes', there kind of like the Earth's 'zits', they constantly emit heat, smoke, toxic gas, and 'pus', kind of, called 'lava'. The core of the earth is basically on FIRE. All the time. And, it's really hot, and stuff. If you touched it, you'd burn your hand, and the rest of your arm, that is, if you could get close enough before your whole body dried up and caught fire. REALLY REALLY hot. Natives used to throw virgins in the volcanoes as a religious sacrifice. Too bad they were too stupid to realize they were just worshipping a gigantic oozing earthen pustule...but, that's what they got for being 'natives'.
Anyway, so the earth is kind of like a giant M&M, cool to the touch on the outside, hellishly hot and molten on the inside. We puny humans think our surface-level activities have something to do with all of this, because we like to think we're 'all that, and a bag of chips'. Truth be known, we have ZERO control over the climate, and other than choking ourselves to death on car or other kinds of exhaust, we're kind of powerless in that regard.
I think mother nature's probably going to light off another Krakatoa or something, and we'll see how quick a natural event can wreck things. I don't think we should do stuff that pollutes the air intentionally, on the other hand I don't think that our impact is THAT great. If you just stood back and let everything we've got today kind of go to **** for about a century, like roads and stuff, you'd see mother nature on the march, quick-like. She's the kind of lady that does basically whatever the hell she feels like, and you'll LIKE it and get out of the way or get *****-slapped for your trouble! LOL
On a final note, if you like your profanity straight-up, take a good listen to RAP music. Rock music is on it's way out, now replaced by the rap tunes, soothing and wholesome though they may be. It's kind of like musical rot-gut. No melody, just lots of potty-mouth and a digital drum machine. Enjoy! LOLOL

Yes, if you refuse to acknowledge that it is indeed real then you're in denial.
