my goldfish looks normal but keeps hiding behind a plastic helmet in the tank

well first of all there has to be more than one goldfish in the tank. well it will look extremely fat. it's possible for it to look normal because you see it every day and it won't get fat overnight, so it would grow over time causing it to look "normal". if there are other fish in the tank compare it to them. if it looks fatter than the other ones it is possible for it to be pregnant. as for the hiding thing, some fish just like to hide. i've had many fish do this before.

It starts eating pickles, cries for no reason, and leaves the tampons unused at the bottom of the goldfish bowl.
