I've always liked Yarrow Bay (Kirkland) along Lake Washington. It's got a great variety of activities for all ages.

Snoqualmie falls is good for a day outing with either downtown Snoqualmie or Fall City for some interesting browsing around (more rustic than Kirkland.)
