It will float and then melt. When ice melts, it absorbs as much heat energy (the heat of fusion) as it would take to heat an equivalent mass of water by 80 °C, while its temperature remains a constant 0 °C.

No no no...
maybe the water freeze!
Q=MC(delta-theta)
Q(1)=Q(2)
m(1)c(1)(delta-theta)=m(2)c(2).-(delta-theta)
you should solve it...
it depends on the mass of both WATER and ICE
and their C
and primary temperate.
Solve it to know what will haPPEN to ice when placed in water...

Are you sure? Maybe the boggy man steals it. Did that kid behind you sneak it out? Maybe the ice fairy came and took it, look under your pillow for money.
Personally, in all probability, you probably will have it come out in your urine. OUCH!!! Be careful when you pass it, that will hurt or maybe not.
