I am a writer developing a female private detective character and I want her to be as realistic as possible. What martial would best suit a tall woman, 5’ 8”, with above average upper body strength?

Smith and Wesson....just kidding. Tae Kwon Do is very effective, or one of the Hand to Hand combat techniques taught by the military.

I think what ever you think would be the best martial art...I would try all, so i could learn different moves and different ways off putting them out and down... I'm only 5'2" tall and weigh 90lbs. so i would have to learn all the moves for sure...

to be a student of all is important because u never know what u will need to defend yourself, and it is a life time learning process.one does not become a master easly.
