if you have no upgrades yet, try starting off with cold air intake or a cheaper and smaller version ram air intake. cold air is best, adds probably 2 to 7 horses( i think depending on the brand and the set-up), which is great for off the line power. unfortunately without spending thousands right off the bat and adding a ton of upgrades you wont be " fast and the furious" ( tens of thousands).
so unless you plan on putting it in the shop for the next couple of months and thousands, cold air is a great start. www.sportcompactonly.com is an awesome sit for tuners point blank. i happen to love the round body eclipses, and own a '97, and modding it for racing. I'm not an expert on the subject but if you have any more questions, or like to chat about it, hit me up. tlindenjr@yahoo.com

good luck

Get yourself a fin in the back, get it lowered in the front and a lift in the back so you are at an 80 degree angle and that should get you started in the direction you want to go. From there on you can add more things as you go.

i dont know a whole lot about dsm's but helping the motor breathe will get you more power.. maybe 10-15 hp... but its the cheapest setup...

some kind of decent intake... not the ebay **** it doesnt work like stated.... get a full catback exhaust and a header.... once again gt some kind of reputable brand... and an intake... if you get the one that hangs in front of the wheel well make sure it has a shield you dont want any water lock...

Building your car up to be real fast will only lead to calamity, as you will pose a threat to all others who share the road with you. I have lost quite a few friends that way, so why don't you slow down and live.

He inventory drag races in his spare time so his isn't changed lots in any respect the two and the european is in specific off limits on changes. it rather is to the guy named Who I even have information they blow up the bigger engines too by potential of redlining them each and all the time besides! to any extent further there are a number of those small autos that are merely as rapid and cope with greater effective than the bigger RWD force autos. i'm a volunteer member of the SCCA besides and the little FWD or AWD force autos tend to blow the doorways off the RWD autos on the music, because of the fact they have velocity and coping with I see it carried out each and all the time. so they have activities autos in all categories!
