I have recently had a dilemma. At a party I was a little bit of a loner, but I have question for all. Is it better to be a follower in a large group and not be noticed or be a leader that is lonely?

It depends on the individual. Some people feel comfort being a follower and have no desire to lead. Others feel the need to lead and won't be happy unless they lead, even if it makes them lonely. If you are uncertain what you want, just go with what makes you feel good. Neither position is better than the other -- what matters is where you feel comfortable. Some people shine more when they are amongst other followers, others won't shine unless they are leaders. We are all individuals.

I'd like to be a leader and lonely, because of course when you're a follower of a group, you don't get to respect yourself and show your opinions to them. If you're a leader, you can stand up for yourself, even when you're lonely, you'll still know the right thing to do. Think about it. Getting respect for yourself or following your master around like a poor doggy-dog. Good luck.,

This depends upon you, I am naturally a leader and it always seems to just come out even when I try to suppress it. it's either you are or your not. Which are you? I have never been a leader that is lonely, I absolutely haven't been a follower and not noticed, I follower yes but not unnoticed, sorry.

Be in your element. Do what feels good. If you think that by being a leader you'll be "lonely" and that by being a follower you'll have "lots of friends" .... then that is your choice.

You can still be a leader, and be sociable, outgoing and have friends. You just have to assert yourself that way, or find your own flock of friends to hang out with.

There has to be a leader in that group of follower's, so I would rather have a mind of my own and be a leader....

When you're a leader, you are the influence. Whatever happens to your "underlings" is somehow you're fault.

When you're a follower, you are doing what everyone else does, and you're under the influence of others.

Live above the influence - be yourself, and don't follow the same road people have taken thousands of times before.

you should always be a leader not a follower. following other people will get you in a lot of trouble. if you got to be a follower to have friends than you don't need no friends.

It is always lovely to sit at the sidelines and watch human nature unfold before you. You actually leave with more than the leader who is lonely
