I think that's one of those old wives tales..kind of like holding your wedding band over your stomach on a string and that will tell the sex...or adding the month of conception with your age at conception--odd equals a girl and even equals a boy.
With my son I didn't get any morning sickness or anything for that matter. I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my second and I've had the sore breasts, constiptation, exhaustion, morning sickness, trouble sleeping and so on...who knows if that means it's a girl or boy. Of course everyone has their comments about the gender. Can't wait to find out at the sonogram. About 12 wks to go for that though.
So no, i don't think it matters how sick you are or aren't. They also say that a lot of heartburn means a hairy baby. My son wasn't even close to being hairy and still isn't and my heartburn was killer.
So who really knows.

Ok well let me just say at first this is an old wifes tell. But let me tell you now that it was true for me i had my son first no problem easy pregnacy my daughter almost killed me and i really mean that. She was rough morning sickness was a never ended circle with her no matter what i ate i got sick no matter how much or how little of it i had i got sick and this lasted all 36 weeks(she was born at 36 weeks 4 days). But i have been told by others that this is not true but it worked that way for me.

I am CERTAIN that many people will say there is NO Correlation between morning sickness and the sex of a child and will point out they were equally sick (or not) and had boys.... but... a scientific study did "seem" to think there was some truth to the idea.

It depends on both sides of the family history...With my first child I had a boy and never got morning sickness, and im pregnant again with my second child and I didnt get morning sickness...so it could mean im havin another boy. And everyone in my family that has had boys never got morning sickness but with the girls they did.

I don't think this is true, I had bad morning sickness also but I had boys and girls, for me if i carried the baby high, it was a girl and if I carried the baby low it was a boy, my boys stayed low in my stomach, and my girls stayed high in my rib cage.I'm not saying this to be true of all pregnant women, but it was for me, most sayings are just old wife's tales,

I did have morning sickness when I had my first born, a boy and none with my second one, a girl. I did notice that my complexion was terrible with my girl, guess it might be the high estrogen level between the both of us,

I haven't heard that but I have heard that if you suffer from bad morning sickness that that means you have a healthy pregnancy.

Morning sickness is just your bodies way of "fight or flight". It knows there is an intruder, so the only way it knows how to fight it is to raise your temperature first to try to kill it off. Then the only other way is to try to expell it...puking. Really doesnt matter the sex of the baby, its just an old wives tale honestly.
