I have GC and I love it, but I don't play half as much as a regular player, and I assume you play a lot. In that case, definitely buy DS because it's the newest technology and is more useful, and can actually be transported from place to place. GC doesn't have as many games available. If you don't play all that much, take the GC because the graphics are really good. I suggest Zelda: Windwaker... that game is phenomenal.

They all have their own advantages. Let me point out though a Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite will play Game Boy Advance games so that cuts out the Game Boy Advance SP (unless you want to play Game Boy and Game Boy Color games; they are not supported on the Nintendo DS due to technical limitations).
The Nintendo DS is worth it since it is reasonably priced (and so is the new model too). So, you are getting a Game Boy Advance SP and Nintendo DS all in one. Plus, of course you can use the new innovative control of the touch screen - something unique to the Nintendo DS. We have some good games for it as well. Some Nintendo 64 games have also been remade and adapter for it too. This includes Super Mario 64 DS and the upcoming Diddy Kong Racing game too. Other titles I recommend include Mario Kart DS, Brain Age (Brain Training), Nintendogs and WarioWare: Touched!. Don't forget about the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. When it launched with Mario Kart DS back in November 2005 it was a huge success. I believe there is now over one million unique players to the service.
GameCube I wouldn't recommend now (maybe last year). The Nintendo Wii is due to launch at the end of this year and that will play GameCube games, Nintendo 64 games, SNES games, NES games and games from non-Nintendo platforms. Developers will also be offering their own games through the Internet. Of course, Wii will have its own titles for the "remote" controller (Wiimote).

DS/DS Lite is by far the best nintendo product in the market at the moment. Nintendo seem to be focusing a lot on the DS at the moment and it is thier main console until the Wii comes out. So I would say the DS is better.

I recommend the GBA and the GameCube. Both have simple, easy controls, do not cost very much, and have good games. Try playing Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap for GBA and Super Smash Bros Melee for GameCube. I have had both systems for ages, and neither has broken or needed repair.
