(Right now I'd go with Wade, Kobe or Lebron. I'm leaning towards Kobe.)

Doh! Forgot Lebron plays small forward. Shame on me.

Dwayne Wade followed by Steve Nash... LeBron James is NOT a guard...=)

Main reason why Wade is way ahead of Kobe Bryant:
--- He has done something Kobe Bryant never managed to accomplish, that is to fullfill his teammates lifelong dreams. Kobe doesnt have what it takes to win the 2004 crown for his hall-of-famer teammates Karl Malone and Gary Payton, while Dwyane Wade carried the likes of Alonzo Mourning and Gary Payton to their 1st ever championship. WITH THAT SAID, nobody can now say that Kobe Bryant is better than Dwyane Wade.

Why Steve Nash is only second despite being MVP for 2 consecutive seasons:
--- simply because he doesnt have a ring yet! But everyone must agree that without him, Phoenix would not even have made it to the playoffs this year, not to mention conference finals appearance!

Kobe Bryant. There is no question he's the most talented player in basketball today. His team just needs to gel and get comfortable in the triangle and in a few years I think it'll get there.

If you look back, the real reason the Lakers lost the NBA Finals in 2003 was because they didn't have a power forward to help against the two Wallaces since Malone and Horace Grant were injured and that became the Laker's weakness. I think that made a bigger difference than anything Kobe did or didn't do since the Lakers were playing with only 4 starters and the Pistons had a very strong frontcourt to take advantage of the situation.

Without a doubt the best guard in the NBA today is........STEVE NASH. He has shown it for the last 2 seasons and deserved the 2 mvp trophies he was awarded.

Michael Jordan- Best guard of all time

Lebron (although he is a forward he can still play a guard) - Has lived up to the expectations, he is the REAL DEAL!

Kobe- Overrated, can't play team ball. Kinda shows now that he is NOT the reason why the lakers won the championship. But he got what he wanted (All eyes on him, and Shaq off the team) and thus no championship.

Wade- HAHA....WAY OVERRATED...HAHA

For ANYONE including Marc Jackson to say that Kobe will be better than jordan when his career is over is completely insane. Kobe's career is halfway over and he hasn't even accomplishished half of what jordan did. The only thing he has to show so far is the three rings SHAQ gave him. Michael Jordan dominated a league of legendary basketball players. Kobe isn't dominating a league of boys and washed up players who's careers are almost at end. There is no comparison to Michael Jordan and probably never will be. If anybody is going to measure up to Jordan it will probably be Lebron James. I didn't believe the hype about this kid at first and didn't jump on the King James wagon like many others, but i'd jump on the James bandwagon before Kobe's. kobe is nothing more than a generic wanna-be Jordan copycat. Hmmm.. i guess he doesn't believe in originality. He walks like jordan, talks like jordan, acts like jordan, shoots like jordan, but alas doesn't measure up to jordan. If there ever was someone who wanted to be jordan but simply couldn't..it's Kobe.....sorry kobe but you are Kobe Bryant NOT Michael Jordan.

Gaurd are supposed to be able to drive to the basket, hit threes, and run an offense. Really the only gaurd who does that is Steve Nash. Steve Nash is so good he got his team to the semi finals pretty much by himself. Name any other person that was in that series who you had heard of before then. Also Dwyane(thats how he spells it) is the best all around player in the NBA. Kobe doenst count cause hes a rapist

Stephon Marbury!!!!! Remember he said in the NY Papers "I'm the best point guard in the NBA"? So it must be true!! Please....he's not even the best point guard on the Knicks.

The best guard in the league is Iverson. Wade and Lebron are right there.

Kobe cant win without Shaq.

I'd say Wade because LeBron is a small forward. He's only in his third year and yet he's already unstoppable. Think how good he could be with a few more years experience.

Allen Iverson. He is the best POINT GUARD, more heart than anyone in the game, and plays thru injuries year after year. But as far as shooting guard... i would probably say Dwyane Wade... he is such a well rounded player and he uses the mid range jumpshot, somethin that is vanishing in the NBA.

Steve Nash

just look at what the little guy been doing in front of NBA giants and manage to create a situation to involve his teammates in scoring.

can't help but admire this guy for being a team player and as a guard we can't question his shot selection also which i think is what makes him great, he can go wherever he want, either pass it, shoot it, look for the open man,, common,, he's complete!!
