Travelling to Manali from Delhi by road is the most popular option. Other options of travelling by air or rail are more of inconvenience as there is no direct link to Manali.
You can travel by public transport; Himachal Pradesh Roadways, Delhi Transport Corporation and Haryana Roadways are major bus operators on the route. You can also travel by your own or hired car/vehicle as the roads are very good with facilities all along.
Alternatively, you can visit ChanderLok building in New Delhi, opposite Hotel Imperial on Janpath, Cannought Place. On the ground floor there are several private tourists offices specialising Himachal Pradesh. They also have regular arrangements for delux / 2x2 /AC coaches operating on the route. Check with them, if their plans suit you, you may opt their facilities or can have ideas to modify / adjust to your suitability.
