Yes if they have a brick and mortar school as well as an on-line or correspondence school. If they haven't heard of the school before, be sure to do is a search for the school name with the words "diploma mill" and see if it comes up...

Also make sure they are accredited by a real accreditation organization-if unsure than ask what other schools are accredited by their accreditation authority and then call a couple that you know are genuine and verify that they know of the school and will recommend it (this is better than calling the accreditation org as if it is a bogus org set up by bogus schools then you see the lies that ensue...)...

Remember in higher education while you don't always get what you pay for, cheaper often means just that...

If they don't have a brick and mortar school then I would be very reluctant to use them unless you can find lots of credible backing to support their authenticity and value...

My boyfriend performs some on line video pastime and has for roughly 7 years. He has incredibly some on line friends (women people too) that he talks to on skype, IM, and social networks. i assume my answer may be in line along with his habit. My boyfriend has constantly been very open approximately all of his friends alongside with those on line. i detect no longer something intimidating approximately people he occurs to speak with in the process the internet and he hasn't given me a reason to. even however, if he advance into doing stuff like clicking out of IM packing containers once I walked right into a room or appearing suspicious then i might permit interest take over and do somewhat snooping. the two way it would possibly no longer remember to your husband in any respect except he had something to hide. i detect it unusual which you probably did no longer comprehend approximately them until at the instant. If that have been the case with me, I in all probability might look them as much as.

Find the school your friend is looking to take a course from and look it up. Then tell him which list you found it on and brag "It only took a simple Internet Search."

Yes, it just depends on which one you use. Put a little time to research the school, it's history and it's accredidation. Online schools are less expensive for the same reason Amazon is so cheap, virtually no overhead.

I guess there are some decent ones around but they're, well, looked down upon compared to a real college degree.
