After Steven had been missing, his body was found in a muddy ditch a mile from his house. Steven had been brutally raped, beaten and drowned. The town went into shock. Even more shocking was this...the perpetrator was not an adult pedophile, or a serial killer. Lamont Harden, the 15-year-old brother of the kid Steven had beaten up, confessed to the deed. Rape and murder was Harden’s alleged chosen course, to humble “the fag” who bested his little brother.

The shock in this murder is not merely that it happened — but that it got so little media coverage. Today Americans are so driven by the media that we have a national heart attack if a child falls down a well and is rescued after hours of suspense. Indeed, child welfare is an overriding emotional issue. We go into a collective frenzy every time a Susan Smith murders her children. National headlines proliterate when a tot is blown away in an L.A. drive-by. TV cameras show us the candles and flowers proliferating on a sidewalk where ashow us the candles and flowers proliferating on a sidewalk where a young person died violently, as a mourning public pays tribute.Yet the Steven Wilson murder has been swallowed up by a strange silence. Why? The reason is clear. Not enough people care. Not enough people are interested in justice for a boy who played with dolls.
Prosecutors are asking that the teenage murderer go to prison for life. But the cold workings of our judicial system will not bri

It is a HATE crime, how LONG does it take us to learn, about treating equally no matter if their GLT or anything!!! We are ALL PEOPLE!!! We were all born by the same 2 cells that gave us life! All have emotions, Diserve to be treated equally!!!

just to add another point:

in the Gwen araujo's case, the jury didn't even think it was a hate crime! they councils for the defendants even argue a "deception" case. IE: Gwen have deceived them into thinking that she is what she is not, therefore when they found out, it is excusable to act as they have done so.

cause of death: beaten to death. they found an indentation of her head against the plaster wall where she was killed. because a bunch of school boys had sex with her without knowing that she is a transvestite , but when they found out, she paid with her life!

this only shows how tolerant our society is - zero. of course there are the occasional good ones, but its unfortunate that sooo many people have perished just because of ignorance....
may all of them be remembered because they perished for the liberty we have today and i hope they are in a better place now.
Amen.

I'm just alarmed at the apparent rise in the number of child on child severe crimes. It seems a week doesn't go by without some poor kid being stabbed or worse.

The link it incorrect ( or I am a n00b)

It is SO easy and often done to make a diagnosis based on incorrectly interpreted signals. Too many examples exist, and I am pretty sure you can find more recent ones if you only know where to look. (try http://www.teenscreen.org/cms/content/view/154/187/)

General questions interpreted by unqualified people will spell trouble every time.

I couldn't find the name, but what you described is horrible! there is nothing wrong with boys playing with dolls, it has nothing to do with their preference, and for him to be killed is horrible, I hope the person was punished even though there is no punishment strong enough for that!
