It depends which type of cancer you're talking about. You could loose weight. If it involves respiratory system, cough is evident, sore throat, hoarseness, dyspnea. Gastointestinal, abdominal pain, change in bowel habit/pattern, constipation and diarhhea, bloody stool. Genitourinary, bloody urine. For lumps, it could be only a cyst that could easily be excised by the doctor, not all lumps are cancerous.

i think it depends on the type of cancer, i have heard that with breast cancer you get ongoing flu like symptons that won't go away.
