Be very careful with runes. They're not only a font, they also have each their individual meaning. They were used as a means of divination, not only writing. Learn about their meanings and chose just a couple, not a whole word.
I have Dagalaz and Ansuz tatooed on my forearm, my friend has Uruz and Odal.
Think twice, runes are powerful.

I totally agree with Ymmo.
Runes are a very powerful symbol.
Study them carefully and then choose which one(s) would best suit you.
Think about what the runes mean to you. Are they just a cool symbol? Is it part of your beliefs? or hertitage?
After you decide on them I would suggest going for a bold .. tribal syle .. thick lines.
If you get small thin lines and alot of runes it is just going to look like a bunch of sticks that few people understand.
So I suggest that you choose a few runes and dress them up.

as with any tatoo, they need to mean something to you. its going on your body and its not coming off, so id think long and hard, ive wanted a tatoo for years, i keep drawing them up, and then deciding i dont like them. what happened to the rocker hair??

When you're 80 years old, will you still want a faded, wrinkled tattoo? My job will not hire someone with a visible tattoo, it seems to say "poor customer service", so know that it may effect your future employment possibillities.

like i told another girl asking for tattoo advice. i have a full short sleeved t-shirt, torso front back both arms to the elbow. assorted ones on my legs. i am proud to say that all of them were my ideas and due to that i regret none of them. do you want my ideas on you for the rest of your life?

You might try using timp. tatoos before getting a perminent one. I know of several people who wish they didnt get one.

I think you should get Mannaz and Dagaz...... They both have good meaning and the symbols are sweet looking.

i think best idea is mehndi . beside tatooed u can use mehndi its all nature and good for skin also.
