Comedy Central gave Carlos a spot because Dave paved the way with his edgy ethnic based humor. The truth is sketchy as to what happened to Dave Chappelle. It looked like there might have been a falling out between he and Comedy Central just before starting his third season. Some reports stated he went to Africa for a while. He may have just needed to get away from the business for a while, only he could say. Carlos probably would not have his show if Dave didn't disappear. Comedy Central was just trying to recreate a formula that worked before with Dave's show. I miss Dave's show, it was the funniest thing on TV to me, next to The Daily Show.

dave chappelle does stand-up comedy now so they replaced the chappelle show with Mind Of Mencia

no, they are still both great. mencia tells more stand up and chappelle does more skits.

no he was on his way out before mencia got their. southpark. and hes not as funny as mencia. thay all get stale.
