on ebay u can get it for £2.00 or more but normal price is about £25.00

Best thing to do is to shop around, try places like www.amazon.co.uk and www.gameplay.com online, and also check stores like Game and Virgin Megastore, pre-owned and new prices vary, but it'll depend on where you shop, I always buy new and official myself.
To be honest though, if you have a DS, get Mario Kart DS, it features some of the tracks from MKSC, and you're not missing that much, also, MKDS is online too, though you will have to put up with the likes of snakers and laggers and such.

Brand new its around £25 -£30 but can get it pre-owned for around £20 just shop around and try the web
