I come from a reservation I am a mutt but I just want to know what people think as in stereotypes of Native Americans because so much attention is paid to larger minorities, and I am just curious to see what people who have never been on a reservation or in the Native American culture think or percieve the American Indian.

I have always been sort of facinated with Natives, I am very interested in their culture and beliefs. I am of Irish decent, and I find many simularites between early irish culture, and it's pagan beliefs, and that of the native americans. I have had some very good freinds of various tribes, in my life, and have enjoyed those freindships. I have gone to powwows, and some of the dances
with them and have enjoyed those also. I find their ways to be sensible and their love for the mother to be rewarding. I dont claim to be a part of their culture, just interested and respectful of it.

I don't have any stereotypes. I have a bit of Native blood in my family too. But I have never been on a reservation, unless you count the casino.

a lot of people think our people are just drunks who all make money off of casinos and that we just get paychecks for doing nothing, at their expense! Then again there are a lot of ignorant people. ;)
