how old to you have to be to travel to mexico?

Also how old do you have to be to rent a hotel room there? im trying to organize a trip. Any other advice for our road trip?

i think if you're under 18 and you're not traveling w/ your parents you're supposed to have written permission, and if you're traveling w/ only one parent, you're supposed written permission from the other saying that you're allowed to travel out of the country w/ that parent
you know, so they know that one of your parents isn't abducting you

I think the person doing the renting has to be at least 18
