I'm not a wife.
But I don't think wives should be obedient. We are equal now. No longer are women beneath men and treated that way. We need not tend to your every need and every whim now. Obedience is something required of a dog, not of a wife. A wife's duty is not to be the chef and maid of the house. A wife's duty is to be loyal and loving as like a husband's duty. And a husband needs not to be the only provider of money nowadays. Women don't need to be obedient. And men don't need to whine anymore about being the only guy bringing the bacon home.

Obedient? In order to answer this question I feel that you need to get somewhat specific in things to OBEY...... By the way I believe a Wife is a grown woman...a mans equal, not a child, a puppet or a dog!

Sometimes. It's best to give and take. I don't like the idea that I am obedient. If I am obedient is he obedient to me.?? If I sense he is not that obedient to me, I won't be that obedient to him.

Obedient? I didn't marry my father.
We have an equal partnership. I'm a grown woman, not a little girl. I don't need anyone making decisions for me, or trying to direct my life for me.

no I am not obedient me and my husband have an agreement , he does what ever he wants and so do i and financial decisions are made together . And as for the phrase whatever we want to do , i mean we talk to who ever we want and go wherever we want . He doesnt tell me i cant go somewhere or i dont tell him. and he doesnt leave me a list of duties to do nor do i leave him a list. marriage is a 50/50 plan....

my wife is very obedient, I keep her chained up in the bedroom, and only let her out to do the dishes, clean the house, and then back into bed (ready for me!!!!!!!!)

Yeah I am. It makes him a better husband. He is more loving and affectionate when he is left to "managing" our family and making the big decisions. When he feels like a MAN he treats me more like a princess.
If you are reffering to scripture, Ephesians 5:24-26
Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. You also see that husbands are supposed to be willing to give themselves up to their wives. So I think it's a pretty fair trade-off to obey my husband if he is willing to die for me.
