I was 16, he was 29. He got in trouble with the law. I am now 31 and when I see him in public he won't even look at me. I don't understand.

A 29 year old man that is intimate with a 16 year old girl has plenty of unresolved issues. Hopefully he is ashamed. At 16 you may appear physically old enough but you are in fact still a child in many ways. You were taken advantage of. Shame on him. Can I get an amen?

He does not want to speak to you. Respect his choice.
Maybe you being 16 when he was 29 was far more dramatic for him than you.
16 year olds do not realise the possible consequences of their actions, and can get many older people into quite a lot of trouble by hitting on them when they may be too insecure to handle things...
You cannot change a past by just being older, wiser, or more successful......Did you see the Movie 'The Rose'..when she goes back to show her community that she was now a star????...and they still rejected her.
Get on with your life and let the past stay where it should be..in the past.
Its far better..and kinder for both of you.

Well it was so long ago, what your thirty one now right? That makes him what about 45? He's Old maybe he's lost his eyesight or something. Did you turn him in back then? besides don't you know that when you r 16 it's wrong that this 29 yr old was preying on you?
