You should try them at least once, especially if your only experience with hot dogs are either the baseball park or Weinerschnitzel. Pink's are tasty and they have a snap almost when you bite into them, probably due to the casing being grilled as they cook. They are pretty damn good and the wait always has celeb spotting potential, but if you live in LA, you already have plenty of that.

The whole point of Pinks is that it is open late really late. So after you've been out dancing/clubbing this is a sure bet for food at 2 am.
Is it that good? Well, the hot dogs are Kosher, yes. But they are fresh because of the high volume and the place is clean. It's outdoors. It's central. And there's a huge selection. Prices are ok, not cheap.
It's been there forever. And you definitely will not get sick, unlike some other places which shall remain nameless.
But it's a very basic experience site wise.

I have eaten there many times over the years. The food is good, but the real fun is going with a bunch of friends, standing in line together and laughing with each other about how tough it all is.

Its a historical landmark, good dogs, great cast of characters waiting in line. I Like my Hebrew National dogs grilled at home, no waiting.

It's a hot dog, so don't expect it to change your life. They're good, but not worth waiting more than five minutes for.
Enjoy

Pretty damned good, but I prefer QT Dogs (Chicago-style dogs). There are a few stands around the city and they are unbelievable.

They're not that good, in my estimation at any rate. But there is one overriding factor to consider -- they're Kosher. And the Fairfax area has a lot of Jewish people.

I've seen it on T.V....It sure looks good. If there is a long line, you can usually associate that with good food and or service. Get in line!
